QA Manager

The Quality Assurance Manager for the manufacturing sector specializing in essential oils, aroma chemicals, and extracts is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the highest quality standards throughout the production process. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols and systems to comply with industry regulations and customer specifications. The manager will lead a team of quality assurance professionals, conduct regular audits, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and ensure product integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing and enforcing quality standards and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Conducting regular inspections and audits of manufacturing processes, raw materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality specifications
  • Collaborating with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
  • Training and mentoring staff on quality assurance practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Developing and implementing quality control plans, including sampling and testing protocols for essential oils, aroma chemicals, and extracts
  • Managing documentation related to quality assurance processes, including standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality manuals, and compliance reports 
  • Staying updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in quality assurance methodologies

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of raw materials, understanding the physical and chemical properties of the raw materials used in the production of essential oils, flavors, and fragrances.

Must Have

  • A background in chemistry, food science, or a related field
  • Relevant experience min 5 years in quality assurance management 
  • Experience in implementing quality assurance systems such as ISO 9001, HACCP, and GMP
  • Understand the applicable food safety regulations, such as BPOM in Indonesia or the FDA in other countries
  • Understanding applicable industry standards, such as ISO 22000 for food safety
  • Good communication effectively both verbally and in writing
